SmartTemplates

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I would expect to be able to manage blocks of text that I want to reuse in a smart way. But to do that, users have to learn HTML (a smart app would automatically recognize colors, fonts, etc. when inserting a block of text from the clipboard and generate HTML).

Apparently, if you want to define 5 blocks of text, you also have to create files for them.

Signature Switch

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Unfortunately, the plugin developer is making a big fuss about the issue:
"I want to place my signature above the quote when replying to an email. Can this be done using SignatureSwitch?"

For a quarter of a century, we have always placed personal signatures below our own text and never at the end of emails at EVERY company with hundreds of employees.

Guess what: It has ALWAYS been perfectly useful: Readers of the email have always seen, appreciated, and used the signature of the current author. It has NEVER been a problem.

Emoji

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It's a pity that the emoji is copied to the clipboard and not to the cursor position in the email.

‼️Therefore, the CLIPBOARD gets overwritten (when all you want to do is insert an emoji into the text).

Additionally, you can't just paste an emoji, but you need to take an unnecessary step:
1. Copy the emoji to the Clipboard
2. Paste the emoji from the Clipboard to the mail text

(Better would be: Paste the emoji into the mail text)

Textmarker

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This extension is really great if you only use one color in 99% of cases.

But if you want to switch between colors, it's unfortunately a nightmare to use:
1. Select the text you want to highlight
2. Control-click on the highlighter color (don't forget that you have to use the hidden Ctrl-click function!)
3. Find the color in the large dialog box and click on it. Wait, until it has closed.
4. Then go back to the highlighter color with the mouse.
5. Click on the color - now, the Text is marked

It would be much easier, AND: intuitive even for non-nerds, to do the following:
1. Select the text you want to highlight.
2. Open the (new) drop-down menu with the highlighter colors
3. Click on the color – and everything is fine.

Thanks a lot, kind regards,
Tom
