For anyone who uses this but has stayed on Thunderbird 68 like I have, there is now an feature-nearly-identical replacement for Thunderbird 90-whatever, called "Move Mail Shortcuts." That said, this was the most life-essential plugin for Thunderbird up to now.

Archive This! has served me well for many many years. Alas, it's a shame to no longer be available for or compatible with contemporaneous versions of Thunderbird (e.g. 78+).
The replacement I found that worked similarly (and provided much sought-after relief) is the "Quick Folder Move" extension by Philipp Kewisch.

Finally now there is a functioning alternative (beware: it works only one message at a time, which for me is fine as it's the way I always used it): the Move Mail Shortucts Add-on. Archive This is my favourite extension, so much time it saves me on organizing e-mail. Thanks so much for this Adam! For months and months I've kept using Thunderbird 68 because of this extension. Until today, when I found the alternative. So until this one gets updated we have a saver.

Excellent extension. Used this heavily for years. Really miss this functionality now that it's gone. Haven't found anything that replaces it effectively.

I have used this add-on for more years than I can remember. Every time Thunderbird breaks it, I realize, again, how much I rely on it on a hourly basis. It is by far the quickest way I know of to quickly separate the "wheat from the chaff" - to be able to focus on those emails that will be paid attention to from those that don't need any attention. I add my voice to those asking Adam to update it as quickly as his schedule allows.

This add-on is what makes Thunderbird amazing. I order my inboxes based on this (1_High, 2_Med, 3_Low, 5_Calls, etc) and can sort a hundred emails in a matter of minutes before starting to tackle inboxes one at a time. I live and breathe email running my software company. Dying to have it on the latest TBird again.

This add-on is essential! Without it, e-mail wouldn't be manageable at all.
Unfortunately, Thunderbird 78 breaks it (again). I dearly hope Adam will be so kind to devote his energy to update it.

I very happily used this add-on for many years, but it broke on the MacOS in early 2020. Most of the add-on functionality can be replicated by using the Mac System Preferences keyboard shortcuts, using menu commands to run TB message file and rule commands driven by keyboard shortcuts.

Excellent. Very, very useful.
Complements very well regular message filtering tools, which can't do the same things as smoothly and as simply as this one.
Suggestion: Add the possibility to define complex rules (with logical ANDs, etc).

After updates, I can't edit or add filters; I can delete them. I can add presets and keys.

Great add-on and good to see it back, but unfortunately will not allow me to set up a filter. I fill in the information and press "save" but the filter is not saved. Tried uninstalling and re-installing but no luck for me. TB 86.5.0.

So happy it's back! I use it every day. I can't find how to update the folder selection. There's no Preferences button now.
