To hide Local Folders in Thunderbird >115, click the "..." menu in the folder pane (top-right corner of that pane) and select "Hide Local Folders"

Please create a version that hides those 2 folders:
-Junk folder
-templates folder

As of Thunderbird 115, this add-on is obsolete since you can hide without using this add-on, but if you really want, it still works.

Worked on Thunderbird 110. Sadly on 111.0 it has stopped working. Considering the other crap Mozilla have added to the page, it's almost a minor problem.

I cannot find any setting in Thunderbird 111 to hide the folders. If there is something in about:config it's not obvious.

Please note:
1.) 110 and 111 are TB beta versions.
2.) As far as I know, 111 has an built-in function to hide the local folders, so the Add-on makes no sense for TB 111 and later versions.

Regarding the setting, here is a hint:
On the right [of the new Folder Pane Header], an accessible “meatball” menu button will allow users to:

The built-in function to hide the local folders has arrived in TB 115.0b3 !!!

As stated in another review, it doesn't seem to work properly on TB 91.0 64-bit (Windows 10 64-bit). The addon has to be disabled and re-enabled to hide the Local Folders every time TB starts. Perhaps another addon is interfering?

Edit - The developer has acted quickly and updated the add-on to 2.1.0, which now works perfectly with the latest TB.

Sadly, this extension doesn't work (at least for me) in TB91
Update1: It's odd, I must deactivate and activate manually for the extension work

Can you please write an e-mail to k-l-p@gmx.de and tell me what version of TB you use and which operating system you run?
(I use TB 91.0b6 and Windows 10 and the extensions works correctly.)

Update 16.08.2021:
Please update the Add-on to version 2.1.0 - this should work with TB 91.0.
