MarkSubfolders
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
To make this work in Thunderbird 10 you'll need to change:
install.rdf
to...
<em:maxVersion>10.*</em:maxVersion>
and change
chrome/content/markAllReadSubfolders.js (line 132)
to...
var appVer3Orlater = version.substring(0,3) == "10.";
The only difference with this to the previous hack suggested by George is that the version.substring must also be changed - subtle, but important...
TB Header Tools Extension

Information on how to get this working in TB 5 can be found here: http://www.dezertdezine.com/blog/thunderbird-changing-email-headers
Custom Geometry
Rated 3 out of 5 stars
I've been a Custom Geometry user for years, but I've just come across a nice Windows freeware app that meets my needs better, so I thought I'd share.
It's called Sizer and can be found here: http://www.brianapps.net/sizer/
The thing I particularly like about it is that I can use it for all windows, so one small app and I can resize Firefox, Thunderbird, Chrome, Opera etc. Ideal for web devs. It's also very unobtrusive (right click title bar to activate).
As for Custom Geometry - Thanks Kertis for creating this great extension and sharing it with the world. The main reason I looked for something else is that I didn't like the way version 2.5 worked (sitting in the toolbar) and got a little tired of having to hack version 2.4 to make it work on all my versions of Firefox.
Custom Geometry

See update below...
I also had problem getting the new version to work, although eventually I got my old settings to stick.
I much prefer the one click to resize that 1.3 had and also don't like the way it automatically resizes pop-ups to the default size.
I've rolled back to 1.3 for now (thankfully still available on the authors web site).

Update: 22nd July 2008:
Just upgraded to 2.2.0 and all is well again. Thanks for listening to our feedback..! I'd up the star rating to 5, but it's not possible..!

Firesizer

This is just what I've been looking for.
My top wishlist feature would be the ability to set the position as well as size. Similar to Custom Geometry add-on for Firefox.
Thank you for sharing this add-on :)
