People don't pay much attention to how something works, do they? The point of the add-on is to COMPLETELY close Thunderbird withut drilling through the menus. Using the X button only closes the window, and the program continues to run in the background, hidden. For those of us who use a pre-processing program, completely exiting is a must, or Thunderbird grabs the mail before it is processed.
