This started as a Sherlock search plugin I wrote to use in Firefox as a Cal student in 2004 because searching the Berkeley.edu pages was a daily task for me. After some compatibility testing, I shared it with fellow Cal students in February 2005 at the Mozdev Mycroft Project, the original repository for users adding more search engines to the Firefox search bars.
As the Mozilla Add-ons site later became the default home of the search plugins, I have tested and uploaded the OpenSearch update for my plugin here for future generations of Berkeley students. I hope you guys find it as useful as I did.
