Works perfectly. The only reason for 4 (rather than 5) stars is that installation and configuring is rather fiddly, but I appreciate that isn't the author's fault.

This is an excellent addon, which I've been waiting for for some time. I use this in linux to run emacsclient. Using emacs for all my writing lets me easily reuse and save text and format things cleanly.

Thanks to Frederick Zhang, and brickbats to the thunderbird group whose API changes made this necessary.

Aside from needing an additional helper application, this works great and integrates like the old external editor. With this addon, I can finally update to a new version of Thunderbird.
