It seems to work fine on Linux. However http/https links do not open to my default web browser. Right-click--> open DOES work. Just not normal left clicking. If I disable the add-on, then clicking links works fine. So something is wrong with Conversations in this aspect.

Hi, this module would be perfect if it respected the ordering of the mails (my emails are ordered with the most recent on top, but in the conversations, the most recent is in the bottom)

Suite à la mise à jour de Thunderbird en version 157.0.1 on ne peut plus utiliser Thunderbird Conversations, c'est incompatible, pouvez-vous le mettre à jour afin qu'il soit de nouveau fonctionnel car c'est un super module. D'avance merci,

LIked this add-on. Gives me a view of all conversions and dont have to search. If there are too many images in an email, sometime it loads slowly but it works.

I like the idea, but from a usability point of view it is rather clumsy to have to scroll down to see the latest message. Some people may like that, but some may not.
Adding an ordering possibility by date received for example to have the newest email at the top and the oldest at the bottom, would be great. Unless you guys work with Logitech and want my scroll wheel to die prematurely. =;-)
Having that capability would make it 5 stars for me.

I am a big fan of the Thunderbird Conversations add-on, but I've encountered a recurring rendering issue with complex marketing emails.

The Problem:
Simple HTML emails (e.g., standard multipart/related emails using basic inline-styled tables) render perfectly fine in the conversation view. However, complex multipart/alternative marketing emails generated by platforms like HubSpot often render completely blank or invisible.

Technical Details & Root Cause:
After inspecting the raw source of the failing emails, the issue seems to stem from how the add-on's HTML sanitizer/parser handles specific hidden preheader elements and deep div nesting.

Aggressive Preheader Hiding: The failing emails typically start with a hidden preview text block right after the <body> tag, formatted like this:
<div id="preview_text" style="display:none;font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;line-height:1px;max-height:0px;max-width:0px;opacity:0;overflow:hidden;" lang="en">...</div>

Deep Nesting (hs_cos_wrapper): The main content is deeply nested within multiple wrapper divs.

It appears that during the extraction and cleaning of the HTML body, the Conversations add-on either chokes on the heavy nesting or, more likely, the aggressive hiding styles (display: none, max-height: 0px, opacity: 0) from the preheader bleed into the parent container or sibling elements. This causes the main content body to inherit a zero-height or hidden state, making the email appear blank in the conversation thread.

Suggested Fix:
Could you please review the HTML sanitization logic? Specifically:

Ensure that inline CSS intended to strictly hide preview text (like display: none or max-height: 0) does not cascade or get mistakenly applied to the main wrapper/DOM tree during rendering.

Verify that the parser doesn't break or drop the DOM structure when encountering heavy wrapper nesting (e.g., <div class="hs_cos_wrapper"> layers) after stripping external <style> blocks.

Please file an issue at the support site rather than here, this is not a bug tracker.

Thunderbird does all the sanitisation, Conversations doesn't control that.

great addon ! very useful as the normal conversation feature in thinderbird isn't optimal.
an option to order the conversations in date ascending or descending order would appreciated.

You should make that TB Conversations allows Mailnotes and Display Mail User agent to at least show their icon on top. Especially the Display Mail User Agent.

I would like to give this plugin a 5 star review but, unfortunately, it has become unusable for me. Co-worker's emails sent from the OSX Apple email client are, more often than not, displayed as blank within conversations. The only way to view the contents is to view in "classic reader" (or disable the plugin).

When this extension is installed on my Thunderbird, I am not able to see messages with attachments. This persists on all the accounts I have attached to Thunderbird. I have removed it for the time being but hope it will be fixed sometime soon.

Please see the support site for issues. In particular there is a pinned issue for this which has already been fixed in version 4.3.8 of the add-on.

On bigger number of mails it doesn't work.also if some messages is removed from sent to inbox in gmail, it stops immediately responding to show any mail

Works fine and i like the look but there's one bad thing about it and that is it hides the labels at the top of the message. For Example: I have installed the following add-ons, BetterUnsubscribe, ThunderAI, MailNotes etc. Some add-ons (The ones listed in particular) place a button at the top of the message pane for a one-click easy access. Thunderbird Conversations hides all these buttons.
