Your suggestion below was appreciated and understood, but when I attempted to import from the profiles it reported back "import failed".
However, I then removed the upgraded version (2.1.5.2.1) and reverted back to the older version 2.1.5.1 and this time the import succeeded.
Seems I must stop future upgrades or I will again face problems I could do without.

The automatic update removed ALL my reminders and to do's. A poor update if I have to start all over again to restore the exhaustive previous list. There seems to be no way either to restore the previous version od Reminderfox. Very disappointed; wish I hadn't upgraded.
