Hi,

I think this adon will become useable, if you can applay it to an actual website and do not have to enter it in a search field. Would be even better as a plugin to firebug.

Yes, but it is in the category "Search Tools" and it is just an XML search plugin that enables you to check a given address from your address bar for convenience :) In order to make a complete plugin, a brand new plugin should be started.
