Used to be great but is no longer working for me on Thunderbird 68.1.1

Developer referenced version 2.0.2 as a solution, but the update is nowhere to be found.

Also, why is this an add-on, Mozilla? This logical and essential functionality should be permanently incorporated into the TB code.

Clicking on 'latest version' yields v1.2.4. I'm not a newbie. Something wrong here.
