Remove Duplicate Messages

Having several mailboxes in Thunderbird that have persistently downloaded duplicate messages leaving me with thousands of emails to sort through, I was ready to ditch the lot and start again with a different email client but this add-on has done an amazing job of clearing the mess up. It installs easily, then a simple right-click on the folder that you are interested in gives an option to 'remove duplicates'. The user-interface is very clear and simple - you have the opportunity to check before deleting the duplicates and you can delete them all immediately or move them to your deleted files if you are not sure about getting rid of them immediately.

Initially I found that not all my duplicates were discovered - I contacted the writer, Eyal for help (thanks for the very quick & helpful response Eyal). The issue was easily solved by changing the Message Comparison options (Tools menu -> Add-ons -> Remove Duplicates -> Options button) - removing size from the list.

A fast & effective tool - highly recommended.
