Just to clear up my earlier review, 5.7.3 works properly for me. It shows me how many new emails I have and when I click on it, it takes me straight to the account.
It doesn't take me to a login screen. I'm currently using it with 5 accounts.

5.7.3 has been working for me all this time but the latest one on another machine doesn't.
