Your solution worked perfectly, opening a login window in Thunderbird and I was able to login to a different account. Thanks for your prompt reply.

Nice but is seems I am unable to change the google calendar that is displayed. Once I logged in to one calendar it became the permanent calendar. I want to use only a different google calendar account. Uninstalling the extension didn't work as when it was reinstalled it came back with the same calendar. How can I change this? I even uninstalled Thunderbird and it comes back with the same google calendar. I don't want to share the calendar with myself, just view the one I prefer.
