Бесполезный аддон. Он только создает видимость освобождения памяти, реального же освобождения не происходит. Это можно проверить с помощью команды about:memory.

Подтверждением тому являются посты пользователей, которые автор аддона проигнорировал, видимо понимая, что это всего лишь "трюки", а не реальное освобождение памяти:

Фактически аддон выполняет тот же "трюк", что и сворачивание Firefox с включенным параметром config.trim_on_minimize в about:config.
