I've thoroughly tested this extension with Firefox 3 and haven't seen any issues with it slowing down. I'm not sure what other extensions you have installed which may be causing this slow down that you're reporting. The extension does nothing special when opening or closing windows and should have no affect on whether Firefox runs slowly. Thanks.
