I too can confirm what others have said in that i too was having browser freezing problems with sites like Amazon (even contacted Amazon) for a while now, so much so that i could only view Amazon on Chrome. Finally figured out it was this extension that was causing the problem and i have my beloved Firefox back!!

I'm going to tick the other box now, and disable the extension on sites by default and only allow the extension to work on some sites. A bit annoying, but better than nothing. Not sure why this problem exists in the first place; maybe there should be some kind of internal mechanism that prevents this from happening after its worked out as to why it happens with Amazon.
