after update to 1.8 opening TB results in a javascript error "impossible to show view. b.ui is undefined" - is this extension only tested with Firefox while it makes zero sense to have it there instead TB which would also explain the terrible CPU load running insinde TB instead FF

you can install the last release 1.8.1
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/bamboo-feed-reader/versions/

it is not tested with Thunderbird, it works magically !
