Neither "identity delect+" nor "identity chooser" is a solution for current TBs to achieve this function.
What does the job is "Folder account":

This add-on was VERY usefull but unfortunately does not work any more with the recent Thunderbird versions. Please update it. I really miss it !

For anyone sending mail using more than one email address this is fundamental so I would have thought ought to be a standard feature. Easily updated to work with version 2 - see discussion.

I had to have this extension to combine with Stationery extension, because I needed HTML formatting only for one account (not the default one). Works as it should. I'd give it a 10, but the author has not updated the max version to work with TB2, so I had to do it myself to install it.
