The old, illogical behavior has been restored on trunk, hence this extension is now pointless. And there's still no option.

Life saver addon...
How can Firefox latest versions implement such feature without giving the option to choose?! That is annoying at best..

Darr247 - nightly build works as you want, but there is no option to switch back to old behavior.

I don't get the point of this addon... files already take the current date/time when you download them. I want them to get the same date/time they have on the server from which I'm downloading them.

This was badly needed, thanks! Works in SeaMonkey 2.1a1pre as well. Maybe you could add it as a target application?
