If you have several certificates installed for different email addresses, certificate manager is nasty: it does not display the email address the certificate is issued for. Well, it does, but only for "Other People's" certificates, not for "Your Certificates".
This add-on puts another column for displaying the certificate's email address into the "Your Certificates" tab of the Certificate Manager. It's only some GUI magic, since all the logic is already implemented in Thunderbird.
