Paste Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and LibreOffice Calc tables into Thunderbird without losing formatting, borders, background colors, fonts, or cell alignments.
Unlike Thunderbird's default paste—which can strip formatting, distort columns, or alter email theme colors—Excel2Mail cleans, normalizes, and embeds inline styles so your tables display perfectly across Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, and mobile clients.
Key Features
Two Shortcut Key Options for Pasting:
Ctrl+V — Automatic formatting when copying tables.
Ctrl+Q — Dedicated quick-paste shortcut for instant formatting.

Two Shortcut Key Options for Undo:
Ctrl+Z & Ctrl+E — Quickly remove the last pasted table without breaking your normal text editing undo history.

What's New
1. Fix light blue mail body text color in original mail thread when some one reverts on mail.
2. Now Excel table paste using CTRL+V
3. Fixed CTRL+Z being hijacked by the addon — it now correctly undoes normal text pastes in the mail body. Excel table undo is now CTRL+E.

Clipboard or Excel data

Usage statistics or analytics

How is data used?

The add-on accesses clipboard content only when the user explicitly activates the add-on (toolbar button or keyboard shortcut) to paste formatted Excel content into the Thunderbird compose window.
All processing happens locally on the user’s device.

Does the add-on share data?

No.
Excel2Mail does not transmit data to any external servers or third parties.

Does the add-on use remote servers or analytics?

No.
The add-on works fully offline and makes no network requests.

Permissions

All requested permissions are required solely for the core functionality of inserting formatted Excel content into email compose windows. No permissions are used for tracking or data collection.
