Thanks. Unfortunately, if you were upgrading from a non-restartless version, it can't be helped: a restart is still necessary to *remove* that version, even if it's being replaced by a restartless version. However, it should be truly restartless at this point.

If you weren't upgrading from such a version, however, I'd like to hear more about it. In which case, please submit a support request (find the links next to the description on https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/tools-options-for-linux/ ).
