The add-on is super useful when you have a gazillion folders.
One thing to note — it seems to be tightly integrated with the “Quick Move” button in the message toolbar. If the toolbar is hidden, the pop-up doesn’t appear. Personally, I disable the toolbar and use the compact header view (via the Compact Header add-on), and in that setup, the keyboard shortcuts don’t work. I can still access the QFM functionality from the button in the top bar with the mouse, but that’s not very convenient when you’re used to navigating with keyboard shortcuts.

After migrating from Outlook to Betterbird, I really missed the quick move option, because I've got a lot of client folders. This add-on even works better/faster than the one in Outlook!

Amaizing app but no longer compatible with Thunderbird 142.0

QFM slow down
I am a long-time user. Thank you Philip K.
I am using it on Betterbird 140.2.0esr-bb9 (64-bit) on a powerful Windows 11 desktop.
It is fast when first installed, but after a month of use, it slows down. The dialog opens quickly, but the folders are slow to populate.
My settings are simple: Automatic Popup Layout, Never match archives, Actions availalbe Move, Copy, Goto, Tag, Show recently accessed folders, Number 15
I have tried a few settings changes to no effect. A bug maybe?

I absolutely love this extension and was devastated for the few days it wasn't working on TB 142. It saves me so much time compared to mouse-moving emails around, I only realize it when it's not working. This thing is AWESOME.
Now it's working again and I'm so happy!

Great extension, I use it daily. The developer has been quite good at keeping up with new Thunderbird versions that introduced breaking changes.

Thanks for updating - the January version didn't work with the newest version, but the February one does. BUT weird bug: when I choose move-to a folder, it *copies it* but leaves the original in the inbox. Whaaatt? How to fix this? Thanks for your excellent products!

Tbird 128.3.1esr (64-bit), MacOS 14.6.1. In my setup there is no problem moving to/copying to (nested) subfolders. But when trying to move a collapsed thread indeed only the top email is moved. A very simple work-around is to expand the thread and select all emails (a few key strokes), then the move works as desired. This remains the single most important add-on for me, allowing efficient maintenance of a hierarchical database of emails. My life is better for it!!

Very nice and works but has a serious deficiency:
It only sees the top level folders!!! So if you have nested folders it can't find them!

Add-on only works in the email overview, but not in a window of an opened email (Thunderbird 128.2.3esr).
