Very sad to see this addon broken now under Beta. It was a great way to avoid supporting Adblock Plus since it sold out. uBlock Origin is a pain in the butt, there is no way to temporarily disable it for every site other than disabling the addon in about:addons. Now I'm stuck with Adblock Plus, hopefully they won't do something even shadier or spookier in the future.

Since A$$trali$ came out the referer display is no longer available unless you use Classic Theme Restorer or Vimperator (probably Pentadactyl too).
I think you mentioned here that you didn't want to deal with A$$trali$ but what would be a great idea is to have the referer as the tooltip.
Right now if you hover over the button it just says "RefControl", maybe you can change that to the referer.
Just a suggestion. I use Vimperator so it doesn't matter to me. v32 (currently Beta) puts large back/forward/refresh/bookmark buttons in the right-click menu, so all the millions of people in the world who wear glasses/contacts will soon be able to use Firefox again hassle-free.

This is constantly locking up the browser and giving "unresponsive script" errors. ("allaregreen" is listed in the error code.)
I would love to have a working addon like this, please fix the bugs! :(

This is a great addon, and it works with both Linux and Windows (ClamWin).
Windows ClamWin is not a real-time scanner, so it can't hurt to have it installed, it updates daily and won't interfere with your commercial anti-virus. Fireclam automatically runs a scan on each download, so it's a good addon to have.
Goes great with Linux too, as Linux ClamAV is not real-time by default.
Only problem I have with this addon is that it treats "Open from this current location" as a download, so if you want to externally view a PDF file this way, Fireclam will scan at the same time you open the file - if it's a malicious PDF, it's too late. Developers might want to look into this, so I have given it 3 stars.
RefControl

Very essential privacy addon. I like to set it to "Forge" by default and then add important sites (like stores) as "Normal" exceptions. RefControl has been around for a long time, and has always worked well. Thank you!

Thank you so much for not selling out to special interests like AdWh*res Plus did! We need a utility to block all ads with our own exceptions - not having Google, Sedo, and Amazon pay someone off! Thank you and remember, always use Adblock EDGE!
