I cannot see in pop-up menu string "Search as list" as I see in https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/img/uploads/previews/full/122/122692.png?modified=1389758913 :(
May be it is because my Thunderbird in Russian or under Xubuntu?

That feature will be released with v2.0 which is currently under full review and should be released soon. It is not a problem with Xubuntu or your language.

If v2.0 is not released by the weekend I will try to expedite the process by having v2.0 switched to preliminary review.

Thanks for the updated rating. I am glad it now works on your Xubuntu system.

How does it work?
I cannot see any difference from standart searching.
Xubuntu 13.10-64, Thunderbird 24.2.0.

Nick. Make sure your settings for the general tab are as in https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/img/uploads/previews/full/122/122692.png?modified=1389758913 with the "Show search-as-list tab" checked. The other two checkboxes should be unchecked for default functionality.

When performing a search you should see the list view as per https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/img/uploads/previews/full/122/122691.png?modified=1389758913 instead of the normal consolidated/faceted view.

It should work with TB 24.2.0, but I'm not absolutely certain about Xubuntu.

Also please note that Search-as-list v2.0 is not yet approved by Mozilla and as such the apply to columns and sort/toggle features are not yet available to the public.

They should be available soon.

Let me know if you are still having trouble. With your help I can make the code more robust.
