Here we go again. Thunderbird got an upgrade on Debian, so now the Signal-spam extension stopped working altogether, again. Its current status is SNAFU. Maybe you should avoid writing updates, forever.

Unfortunately some anomalies are not necessarily our fault. There is a problem in Thunderbird 78.5 that hinders the proper functioning of the extension.
On our systems, the extension works very well and up to the latest Beta versions of Thunderbird.

We have a workaround being validated by Thunderbird, but unfortunately we don't have control over the validation delays by the Thunderbird teams either.
