Great add-on.

Just one request : Can you add an option to change / disable the hotkey activation?On my keyboard AltGr + V is used for the '@' character. So every time i try to type an e-mail i find myself in private browsing mode.

You can change extensions.privateTab.key.toggleTabPrivate preference in about:config page, see
https://github.com/Infocatcher/Private_Tab/blob/master/defaults/preferences/prefs.js
for some descriptions.

And you can try enable alternative method for hotkeys:
