When I start Thunderbird, the down arrows next to write, reply and forward do not exist. Turing Identity Chooser off then on again temporarily solves this problem.

Edit: A day or so later... the turn off and on again doesn't work any more. I did add the CardBook address addon.

We're working on it even though it's difficult to reproduce since it seems to be happen only on some machines.

Identity Chooser is almost what I was looking for. What I really would like is a way to alphabetically sort my identities. Is this possible, either here or elsewhere?
