Still using it for holiday planning in SeaMonkey. Even works smoothly in latest SM 2.49.2.

For all the people who are using (i. e. are limited to) SeaMonkey and Lightning in a portable apps environment, because they don't have admin rights on their systems: John T. Haller found a solution to include the necessary VC++ 2013 DLL files.

Problem solved. See here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1144285. Installation of Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 removed the issue.

The SeaMonkey 2.32 compatible Lightning version 3.7b1 got into the official version history. No localisation besides US English, but otherwise it seems to work ok.

Try this:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/tinderbox-builds/comm-beta-win32/1419527852/lightning-3.7.en-US.win32.xpi
You can find appropiate win64 and linux versions as well. Just navigate to the corresponding folder.
Linux 64 bit:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/lightning/tinderbox-builds/comm-beta-linux64/1419527852/lightning-3.7.en-US.linux-x86_64.xpi
Works fine here.

Provider for Google Calendar

Works as expected with Lightning 3.1b1 and Gdata Provider 0.31pre.
Yesterday I tried Gdata Provider 1.pre-tasks-v5 for the first time - works as well. Organizing multiple task lists is a little bit cumbersome (each list as a separate Lightning calendar), but can be done at least. The UI isn't really suitable for managing several lists. Some kind of drop down list selection would be nice, just as offered by the Google Tasks Sync plugin.

Nice. Like it. And works as well in SeaMonkey 2.26.1. How about adding SeaMonkey into install.rdf?
[edit] OK. Found the GitHub repository and forum. MaxVersion changed from 2.4.* to 2.26.*. Will try to keep up with further SeaMonkey versions, test the plugin and update accordingly. [/edit].
[edit 2] With current SM 2.32 and Ltg 3.7 (and the former SM 2.31 / Ltg 3.6b3) Year View is not working any longer... :-(. Version 4.4 didn't change anything. Issue posted in the GitHub forum. [/edit]

You should make sure to use the corresponding and compatible versions of Lightning and Gdata Provider. As I'm working with SeaMonkey (latest version 2.26 works fine with Lightning 3.1b1, Gdata Provider 0.30pre, and German language pack) I cannot tell you with versions you need. Could be helpful to look into the support forum:

SM 2.23 works with Lightning 2.8b1. For the current SM 2.24 you need Lightning 2.9b1.
You can find the corresponding Lightning downloads here:

I would love to use this extention in SeaMonkey. Do you have any plans to add SM compatibility?
I added the SM id to the install.rdf, which let me install the plugin. But there is no context entry, nor any menu option or toobar button to make it usable.

Great job, Philipp! Thanks for all your efforts. This is definitely the most useful Thunderbird/SeaMonkey/Mozilla add-on, and it's in daily use since the times of Netscape Communicator and Lightning's predecessor, Mozilla Calendar plugin. So many thanks also to Mike Potter and Mostafa Hosseini.
Now after updating to Lightning 2.7b1 it's again working smoothly in SM 2.22.
For all the one star rating bug reporting linux users: Please have a look at https://blog.mozilla.org/calendar/.
And please don't forget, this is a project that is kept alive by volunteers. They spend their spare time to offer free (like in free beer) high qualitiy open source code to the users.
Google Tasks Sync

Would be nice. But it's rather a request for a feature that Google even doesn't provide. Neither at the full website, nor at the mobile one.
Workaround: cut task title and paste into another list's new task item.
Google Tasks Sync

*Left* klick the task, then *left* klick the carbage can. It's at the right side of the task's name. Task is deleted afterwards.
A right klick opens the tasks details as well, but the context menu shows text and cliboard options only. Which may be (and in your case indeed was) irritating.

Hello Thomasz!
I just updated to current version 0.51 from https://code.google.com/p/gt-tasks-sync/downloads/detail?name=google_tasks_sync-0.5.1-tb.xpi. With the modifications shown in http://code.google.com/p/gt-tasks-sync/issues/detail?id=30 Google Tasks Sync still works fine in SeaMonkey.
And reordering tasks is finally working, too.
Thank you very much!
My suggestion: Add the necessary code lines to make your extension fully compatible with SeaMonkey. All the users that do not intend to fiddling with xpi/rdf code file lines will be thankful.
Kind regards
Carsten

Sadly, new version 0.4.2 is still not SeaMonkey compatible. :-(
Update: OK. Got it running. You can get the howto here: http://code.google.com/p/gt-tasks-sync/issues/detail?id=30
I recommend using 7-Zip for extracting install.rdf and Notepad++ for the manual modifications.
Great job, Thomasz! Thanks an awful lot for this add-on!
May I suggest an improvement? I would like being able to move the list items, just as we can do it on the google website.
@Thomasz. You wrote: > use the drop-down menu near the sync button.
Well, this produces a sandglass for about 2,5 s. That's it. Whatever I try to rearrange the tasks before, in the meanwhile, and afterwards doesn't show any effect. Clicking, dragging, dropping, double-clicking, or even shouting at them - no reaction whatsoever. Oh wait; clicking and double-clicking opens the task's details. But no rearrangement. At least not in SeaMonkey's Lightning. :-(

Please, please, add support for SeaMonkey!
I would love this addon for my favourite all-in-one internet suite. ATM it doesn't install in SM 2.15+ (error msg "not compatible").

For all the users of current Thunderbird or SeaMonkey versions.
See link below to find the appropriate lightning version.
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/thunderbird/addon/lightning/versions/
In my case lightning 2.2b1 works fine with SeaMonkey 2.17.1. I'm just missing a German translation.
Lightning should get at least 10 from 5 stars! Just indispensable.
Thanks for all your work!
