More than one year is passed but notes still missing... I can write a text from Thunderbird side but even after "SAVE..." the text is lost, I can write a 'note' using web access to RTM, the text is saved but it's not visible from TB side...

I use TB24.3.0 , lighting2.6.4 and StormCows0.3 version. I get MODIFICATION_FAILED error message when I try to create a todo, but modify a todo content is no problem.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3).This is likely because the list associated with your calendar is a Smart List. This is something I'd like to fix in the future, but for now it's logged as an issue:

I love it, but I am thinking about moving to a different solution because I can't add notes/descriptions to tasks and events.
(Although I can't think of any technical problem forbidding this feature since all related services have these notes-fields.)

Excellent! If you want an efficient and enjoyable method to work a visual approach to calendar based prioritization of tasks into your workflow … this is it!!
For whatever reason, most killer task tracking apps leave this specific functionality out. 'Flow’ being the only exception I am aware of. A few others come close but fall short of the ‘drag and drop’ elegance.
Keep up the great work! Thank you to the developer for the great product.

Great!!!! Thank you! I've been waiting for this since the Remember The Milk Provider add-on stopped working with TBird updates (after 3.0.11). However, after using it for a couple of days, I started getting "Modification Failed" errors when adding new tasks. Interestingly, marking tasks 'complete' still syncs with the RTM server fine. Any troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: In thunderbird/Storm Cows, I deleted the RTM list "All Tasks" and added the list "Inbox" instead and now everything is working perfectly! Thanks again, great app!!
Glad you got it working! If you add a calendar associated with an RTM Smart List, you'll get that error if you try to add new tasks to it. I've logged an issue for this and I'm hoping to get it fixed up in the future:

Hi,
when I import the RTM calendar URL into Thunderbird (without StormCows), the Due dates and times are shown, but it is not possible to open a notification popup in Thunderbird. Is this possible with StormCows?
Michael
It sounds like you're wanting Thunderbird to send a reminder notification for the event/task? No, this isn't possible with StormCows either. Each time the calendar is refreshed, the events are erased and pulled from RTM again (similar to the iCalendar feed). This means that any reminders you've set are lost.
It would definitely require some thought and some work to fix this, but feel free to log an issue for it with some details here: https://github.com/moldybeats/stormcows/issues

Finally, a very good calendar and task sync!! Works great with Lightning once it was configured properly! Installed the RTM Android apps quick and no problem. Task/Calendar sync is quick and works great. I paid Remember the Milk the $25.00//yr for the Pro account, worth every dime. Would like certain improvements, thus no fifth star but an outstanding start!
The only annoying thing is that sometimes you get an icon next to the calendar name indicating that: Calendar XXXX is temporarily not available. When this happens the read-only flag is set to true and you cannot save to the calendar until you clear the flag via the calendar properties. Then however, calendar changes saved locally are overwritten by the server on the next sync as if that save local didn't really happen. When the previous happens the calendar in Lightning is slow to non responsive as is an event window if you have it open. Otherwise is works fine
Note: The above paragraph is no longer an issue:
Been using the latest version for a couple of months and creating events (not tasks) in Lightning and then having that sync'ed to RTM works fine within the constraints of the common shared fields.
Updated 6-12-15
Still very pleased with the functionality as implemented. Can create calendar (event) items in TB and have them sync (upload) to RTM. The new calendar items do go to RTM and then sync down. No data loss if you add items in TB first.

Great Addon! Thanks a lot.But I have a problem each time I try to add a new task in Thunderbird. I get a error message that the calendar can not be modified. I guess this is a problem with RTM or with the free version where you are only allowed to sync once a day. Is there some workaround? Save new entries locally and only sync once per day?Or do I need to upgrade to the pro version of RTM?Thanks a lot. Kind regards
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3).StormCows should work the same whether you have the free or the Pro RTM account. But you might see this message if the RTM list you added is a Smart List. Unfortunately you're not able to add tasks to a Smart List via StormCows right now. I'd like to find a way to work around this in the future:

Been waiting for this! All day todo question - task subject, as a todo, do you use the same item construction, i.e., every wednesday pay bills, then save; or, do you only use a "normal" subject, due day, and recurring? Otherwise, its great!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.3).It sounds like you're wanting to use RTM's Smart Add shortcuts in the todo name to set its properties? This is something I hadn't thought about, but I can certainly look into supporting it. I've opened a ticket for it if you want to keep an eye on its progress:
