Pick files that are already in your own Nextcloud while writing an email and insert them as a share link (optionally with password and expiry date) or attach them directly. Works with any Nextcloud – no server app required.
About this Add-on
Thunderbird's built-in Filelink only uploads local files. This add-on goes the other way: it lets you browse the files that already live in your Nextcloud and use them in the email you are writing.
Features
• "Nextcloud" button in the compose window with a folder browser
• Select one or more files, also from different folders
• Insert link: creates a public read-only share link per file and inserts it at the cursor (HTML and plain-text mails). Optional password and expiration date. Existing public links are reused when no options are set.
• Attach: downloads the files from your Nextcloud and attaches them to the email, with a warning for large attachments
• Server check before sign-in: verifies via status.php that the address really is a working Nextcloud before any password is entered
• Secure sign-in with Nextcloud Login Flow v2 – the add-on gets its own app password, no need to type your account password. Signing in with a manually created app password is also possible.
• Sign out revokes the app password on the server
• English and German user interface
