The Best addon for minmize to tray!
Please update for thunderbird 6

It absolutely needs to show if there are unread messages. Either via a different icon, icon marker, or a number showing how many unread messages there are (like Thunderbird does natively on OS X). That is an essential feature, otherwise there is no point putting it in the tray.

Best tray add-on ever! I tried all the other add-ons like „FireTray“, „FireTray“ + „Minimize On Start and Close“ and „MinimizeToTray Plus“. But this one is the only one which have no kind of problems with tray-minimized autostarts of Thunderbird on Ubuntu 10.04. A feature like the shown number of unread messages (like in FireTray) would be really nice, but not mandatory. Also without this feature this add-on is great! Many many thanks! :)

Nice plugin, works fine for me on Linux/Gnome.
But it would be nice, if tray icon for Thunderbird will notify users about unread messages.

This Extension is a handy item for any system running Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or 7, as the Tray icon shows when the Firefox process is up; right-clicking that icon will bring up a context menu to restore/minimize or exit.

I have a little sugestion for the developer of this extension: make the tray icon to look different where there are unread messages. By this it wouldn't be no more necessary to regullary check if I have new e-mails by opening the Thunderbird's window.

Really a great Add-on, this is what I want.
I have found a bug in the Add-on.
I have ticked the “always show tray” option.
When I press the close button in right top corner, the firefox will close and the tray icon is still there.
At this moment, I try to click the short cut http link at the desktop, the firefox will open but no repsone when I press the close button.
Hopefully the bug can solve in the later version.
thank you.

Seems to work fine.
Only problem is that this add-on is not (yet) very popular. Hopefully more people can check this extension, including the code itself.
