As other reviewers have said, this stopped the find function from working. If you just want to see the exact number of matches, update accessibility.typeaheadfind.matchesCountLimit in about:config (thanks http://binodbajagain.com.np/blogs/100 )

Doesn't seem to work at all on Firefox 43 on Windows 10. Completely blocks using Search page function. Even after uninstalling Firefox still not searching (after hitting Ctrl+F / the search input doesn't appear).
So, this addon disabled searching in Firefox.
Very bad behaviour for an addon!

Doesn't seem to work at all on Firefox 27. Completely prevents me from even using my Search function, and never seems to report itself as installed to the Addons page.

Not only does the add on not work, it breaks the entire Find function in Firefox, starting with version 25.0. Author has apparently stated he will not update the plugin.
I have updated the add-on to mark it as compatible with Firefox 24, hopefully this will prevent people from installing it on newer Firefox versions.

See 'Quicksaver''s review below and install 'FindBar Tweak' instead.

It was good in older Firefox. Please update the maxversion so it won't install in the latest Firefox, it breaks the find function completely.

I love this addon but broken in 25.0b1. Find bar doesn’t show up if the add-on is enabled. Mozilla changed the way find bar looks.

Like the other reviewers, I would like the current result feature but great job putting something out there that for some fucking reason firefox doesn't have by default!

I agree with Kira.
Show number of current find result and total.
Text can be any. The easiest e.g. - 1/25
1 - current find result
25 - total matches

Works fine by itself but if installed with other Find extensions it will create problems. It causes the Find Toolbar Tweaks and Find All extensions to not work if this is enabled.

Here we are in FF 10 now, and as far as I'm aware, this simple feature still hasn't been integrated. I'm rather surprised. Like others have said, it would be nice to show which instance of the word or phrase you're on like in Google Chrome (I thought it did this?), but I still find this add-on to be very useful.

Works fine but would be more useful if it also showed which search number you were currently viewing. For example if there were 10 matches for a search word and you were looking at the 3rd one from the top of the page then it should say 3/10 or 3 of 10. I think that would be more helpful.

On Ctrl+F he blink "Increase Limit" text even is not increased?

Indeed simple, but useful add-on. Should be by default in any browser.

Great addon and version 1.8 works fine in firefox 4, I was hoping Firefox 4 will have it without an addon but it doesn't:{

Doesn't work in Firefox 4.0 nightly (4.0b8pre). "X matches" doesn't show up.
Also, "X of Y matches would be a more useful feature.

Thank you! But can you not recalculate quantity on find next? (recalculate if search text changed only). Because it became very slowly when quantity more than 5000-10000.

Has been quite useful for web pages, but what I was really hoping for was being able to count matches in XML. Hopefully this will be a feature in the future.
