I really like this add-on, but it doesn't seem to work in Thunderbird 128.0 esr. Any plans to update it?
Edit: Thanks for the quick update!
Thanks!

This makes it so much easier to switch between full headers and limited headers, BUT it would be so much better if that switch would only affect the CURRENT MESSAGE. When I switch to look at a message with Full Headers, that setting continues for any messages I look at from then on, and I have to switch Full Headers off again. That's such a pain, especially if you go to PRINT or FORWARD, etc one of those messages and the Full Headers that you don't want are there. I suspect this add-on merely flips the Thunderbird general setting. A pity.

Essential - one of the missing bits from thunderbird.
Thank you!

Use to be only 1 line, but now 2 lines. Please bring back the 1 line version for 78.4.1 and up.
Thank you
It sounds like you mean another extension. This extension provides a way to toggle the headers between normal and all. However, I am aware that it does not work with v78+ and am working on an update.

Grown to really like this one. Hope it makes it to TB 78+ :)

I use this add-on several times every single day, and I have for a couple of years. It is my constant companion on Thunderbird 60 for Mac OS, and earlier versions.
Given the way my email is set up, I often want to look at custom headers like `X-Original-To:`. Sometimes, I want to check the `Received:` headers to make sure the message came from where it says it did. Toggle-Headers makes it easy: I just type 'H' and all those headers appear where just a few headers were before.
The developer, mattsch, is responsive. I wrote an email recently to the support address, and got a reply from the developer, meeting my needs.
There is a new version of this add-on supporting Thunderbird 68, so when I upgrade, Toggle-Headers will be ready for me.

This addon needs to be updated to work in Thunderbird 38.8.0
** The updated addon now works, even with CompactHeader. Thank you!
P Drummond,
I would appreciate before writing a (negative) review to be contacted through the support email in order to be able to look into it and possibly fix this issue.
Do you mean TB 38.3.0? I am using it with 38.3.0 and it works fine.
Can you please be a bit more specific of what's not working? Are you using CompactHeaders as well?
Thank you,
mattsch

UPDATE: developer has been great about looking into the problem mentioned below - including discovering a bug in Compactheader & reporting it to that extension's dev. He reports that the latest version of Toggle Headers includes a workaround. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm revising my review score to reflect that TH is super useful in combination with CH, when that relationship is working - and that the dev (mattsch) is very responsive to comments.

This was a terrific add-on, but it doesn't work properly with Compactheader 2.0.10... Hitting "H" used to expand the headers pane as advertised, now it just blanks the pane out. Hitting "H" twice will expand the pane, but the previous setting isn't remembered, so you have to manually collapse it again.
Compactheader 2.0.10 is required for newer versions of Thunderbird - so basically, Toggle Headers hasn't been updated, and now doesn't completely work as advertised with newer (38+) versions of TBird.
Thanks for letting me know about this problem, meeotch1.
I am looking into this problem and hope to release an updated version soon, which is compatible with CompactHeaders 2.1.0.

Very useful and works very well.
Together with Compactheader, I've got shift-H to toggle between compact and normal header, and H to toggle full headers.

Nice. Could you add an icon or button on the menu bar of the currently viewed email?

When I press H, it breaks current message character encoding. So, instead of a readable message, I see abracadabra. It seems that this problem does not exist for messages written in English, but is breaks character encoding in every single message written in Russian.

Have you tried if this issue persists if you disable all other add-ons (maybe this is an issue with another add-on)?
What character encoding are you talking about exactly?
If it still exists, please send me an email written in Russian with the character encoding you are having problems with. I will then try to reproduce this problem.
Thank you.

Slight issue with compact headers addon - will not automatically expand the headers if they are compacted. However, toggling compact headers will still show the full headers, so it's still straightforward.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.2).With both add-ons installed each shortcut works for me. I tested it with Thunderbird 9.0.1 and 10.0.2. Which version are you using?
The only thing that doesn't work is when the compact headers view is enabled pressing H has no visual effect (it still toggles which you will see when you disable the compact headers view). Is that what you meant?
Update: This is fixed in version 0.3
