Reviews for Password Exporter by Leon Couch

This little utility does exactly what it is supposed to do: Collect all the saved passwords and put them in a file. You can then backup passwords or use the utility on another computer to transfer the passwords to it. It is very easy.
At the same time, I'm not convinced that it is a very good security practice--the point of passwords--to use the utility. I don't know how well the secured password files are and I've had problems with the encrypted files.
The password exporter, if I recall correctly, sometimes has had problems with duplicates or multiple passwords to the same webpage.

I've used this Firefox add-on for years, and it has been super. I used it often to back up my passwords, not relying entirely on Firefox's synch function. I've used it to back up my passwords and to transfer them to new computers.
The only unreliable part is the encrypted version, which has failed upon importing. So, I save the unencrypted ones in an encrypted RAR file to keep them safe. If I remember correctly, it doesn't transfer the master password. You must go to the options->security and click for that in Firefox options and enter yours.
In any case, I've really used this a lot for years. Thanks for this add-on!
