Clean Links
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This feels much more efficient than the various redirection removers. I can't verify for sure but Delegation Mode makes a lot of sense. I am wondering what exactly certain options do though. They sound very useful but they are off by default. In particular, Catch Text Links could replace Linkification but I am not sure if it works efficiently. Ideally, it would only locate and convert text links when necessary, in a way similar to how it cleans links in Delegation Mode. Doing it the way Linkification and others do it can be very processing intensive with long pages.

It seems to also break the way QuickFolders displays its tabs (colour and format). To see the problem you have to restart TB twice after updating, installing, removing an update. Then the problem remains. Unfortunately, I had to remove Mnenhy because of this. Too bad, because TB's default headers display is useless.

Very useful, particularly if you are using a netbook with a small screen. Every pixel counts vertically, so the blank area above the first displayed header could be removed. It does indeed seem to break the Forward function by making TB quote the full headers in the message to be forwarded. The user can fix this by selecting Headers | Normal in the CompactHeaders addon's menu (if installed). This must be done once every time TB start if forwarding is required. The selection switches back to All every time TB starts. It could be CompactHeaders' fault of course.

Very useful but it doesn't work well with withattach. If at all possible, these addons should add to the existing Forward menu, instead of displacing each other.

Good idea. The killer feature would be 'Delete messages from Trash that are older than x days' -- ie the timer feature would always keep x days worth of messages just in case. Ideally, that would be work with Compact mailboxes too but this may not be that easy.

Great! Why TB designers thought using words instead of icons was a good idea is beyond me. I don't see the icons selection in Compose though, although it shown in one of the screenshots here.

I can't believe there are hardly any proper compact themes for TB. A compact version of the default theme would be great. Having looked around this is the only really compact one that looks fine but it's not compatible with the current TB version. I am not very keen on some of the icons (eg the flame for Delete), but it's the only option really. If you install MR Tech Toolkit you can force TB to 'Make this compatible' (ie ignore the version restriction) and in this case it almost works OK. Two or three buttons in Options and Extensions are messed up, but it works otherwise, so I am keeping it for now.
