Provider for Google Calendar
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
This was such a great plugin, but like others are saying, it is no longer properly syncing.
If you create something on your android phone, it won't show up here. Even if you hit sync. The only way to make it show is to reboot Thunderbird. Then, suddenly is syncs everything.
So it isn't very useful for a system that runs 24/7 anymore.

I've been using this addon for quite some time. But I've noticed the same as others. At this time, it only shares to my Google calendar (or syncs to it) but does not pull information from the calendar (only syncs in one direction).
So if I create an event in Thunderbird, it shows on the Google Calendar site and my phone. However, if I create an event via the site or phone, it will not show up in Thunderbird. It will show everywhere else, but Thunderbird will not see it. Which has been causing issues as I create events from my phone just as much as I do Thunderbird.

Been loving this one since the jump to 78 when X-Note++ wasn't working. Switched to this not knowing if I would stay or go back. Now X-Note is updated, but I am sticking with this one. Already here, and it works quite well and seems to be growing with new options. I likes it!

Well shoot! I absolutely LOVE this plugin. At first I was a bit whiney, but it really grew on me within a short time. I get emails from people all the time that clutter them with images throughout long chains. I enjoyed being able to hit reply, hit strip images, and then write my stuff and send (thus not expanding the size of my user profile with needed images). I do hope this gets re-written to work with TB 78+ :)

Such an awesome addon. I can't wait to be able to use it again. Miss it so much on TB 78.

I have been enjoying this plugin quite a bit. I may not use it as deeply as most (I just barely use it), but for what I use it for, it sure makes things easier when jumping around between a few folders.
Tried the pre-release and haven't run into any troubles just yet.
Great job!

This is an incredibly simple extension which means it lean and perfect. Except that you have to manually add the icon, and that it only works for messages you are sending. I was hoping it would also work for messages received within the message pane. That would make this PERFECT as it's annoying when someone sends you an email you want to keep but they have it cluttered with unneeded images, forcing you to have to manually change the message body view so that you can delete them, and then change it back. Clicking a button and being done with it is much more preferable. Please consider that in the future :) thanks!

It's too bad, but this no longer works with TB :(
This was a simple yet useful little tool.

I do really enjoy this plugin. Sadly, it doesn't always work with certain themes on the latest Thunderbird. For example, if you use one of the current dark themes (ie, TTDeepDark), the text turns white, and that doesn't work against a yellow background. Thankfully you can edit it to change it to black (or whatever color you need).
Go to: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\YOURPROFILE\extensions
(*change YOURUSERNAME and YOURPROFILE to what you find in those folders)
Extract out "xnote@froihofer.net.xpi\chrome\skin\xnote-window.css"
Edit the section:
#xnote-texte {
font-size: 10pt;
padding: 3px;
}
to
#xnote-texte {
font-size: 10pt;
padding: 3px;
color: #000000;
}
Change text color to whatever you need of course.....(use a color hex code website to figure out the 6 digit code if you have to, or you can also replace "#000000" with just "black" or another color (for basic colors).
add it back to the extension package, and start Thunderbird back up. Text color should be changed. :D
I'd give it 5 stars if it had the ability to change the font color in the extension settings or something.

It looks really nice. However, can the height of the emails in the list be adjusted so that more emails/rows can be seen within the space? That's the only thing that gets me going back to the default theme (so I don't have to scroll as much, as I get a LOT of emails I have to breeze through). With this theme, the height/spacing is a bit much. It looks clean, but with my traffic, it works against me.

Thank you minisystems gbr for taking the time to break it all down in your post. I too was panicked as I have dozens upon dozens of custom templates setup that simply vanished in the latest TB45 update. Now they are all back and the world is at peace for me :). Obviously also another thanks to WizKid as this is still one of my absolute favorite extensions for Thunderbird.

Thank you for making such a usable plugin for Thunderbird. I have been using the crud out of it over the last year or so and have had nothing but a great experience.
The only thing I wish was added, was the ability to assign contacts or contact lists to a template. In my personal life, I send out a TON of repetitive emails for various events (ie, hikes, movie gatherings, etc) and what not. I can just imagine if someone used it for work. Being able to auto-fill a contact or list would be beyond cool (with a checkmark for To, Cc, or Bcc for that selection).
Again, two thumbs up and thank you for such a great plugin. These are the things that brought me to using Thunderbird. :)

I agree. Please make a comeback and bring an updated version of this extension. I am sure life has probably taken you into a new direction, and it may be busy as can be...but sometime when you get the free time to sit down and review the idea....don't forget about the many people you have helped out :)
