Still not able to use this great program with Thunderbird 3.1.6. If the originator, Reivax, reads these reviews, please take note that every day that goes by loses more and more users as their TB version is updated.

Works very well for me :) the only thing I'm missing is an "auto-convert" feature. Selecting and clicking is annoying. :)

This is a Very Useful Extension. I love it, many thanks for it.
I miss only one small thing: it would be very handy to have a "Switch Currencies" button to exchance the to and from currencies on the toolbar. Then it would be perfect for me!
Thanks!

I started out liking this add on - a few weaknesses, it didn't make any guesses at the currency (if you select "35€" it doesn't switch to euro as "from" currency), but that can be worked around.
But what kill it for me is that I can't turn off the double click functionality. If I double click on something it tries to do a currency conversion on it and insert the new value.
Now try this:
1. Go to a textarea (your normal multi-line text field) and add a lot of text.
2. Double click on word (to select it).
3. Boom!
You have now lost all your changes and there's no way of getting them back.

Great Addon, I just wish the toolbar was more customisable. I want it to be half the size. I don't need "Display on Page" on the toolbar all day, this should be in the options (if there were options!). I don't need to know the rate, or the date of last refresh. You also can't make the change toolbar part of another toolbar such as the navigation or menu toolbar. At the moment I have forefastfox on the change toolbar, as it supports that feature.

Super extension, simple à utiliser et très pratique.
Par contre, il ne semble plus y avoir de suivi du développement... dommage!

I'm sorry, but while this is a lovely idea, and mostly works, I've had to uninstall.
It tries to convert everything, so when you double click a phone number to copy and paste, it converts it into USD (?).
And I think (not sure) it loses changes you've made in text boxes if you double click something in the textbox. So if I'm doing a long blog post edit, occasionally the textbox just reverts back to its original state. As I say, not certain it's this plug in doing that, but the timing coincides.

This is a really useful extension; except for the inability to delete and/or add a new currency. There is a need to enable this function! Good job.

Very cool add-on. when will we be able to change settings? like default currency values in the bar, or automatic saving value when you close ?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.0.10).When you chose a setting when you are on a page, this setting will be remembered for all the pages of the website.

This is a very useful add-on. I use it all the time when I don't feel like doing math in my head. Also currencies change every day so this add-on is really indispensible. I would love it even more if it had preferences I could set, like "a dot is a decimal place" and/or "a comma is a thousands separator". And as other reviewers have already mentioned, if it could detect the currency symbol in the page by itself, well then it would be perfect.
Thanks.

Installed this add-on a few days ago in all my computers and so far I'm loving it. Really convenient and simple to use. Kudos to Reivax

Nice idea - I found this when I thought about an in-line currency converter to help evaluating prices.
One bug makes it unusable for me though, it parses, for example 8,999 as 8.999, e.g. eight-thousand nine hundred ninety nine as eight point 9.
It would seem that if I go about writing a currency converter program, I know about different punctuation preferences in different languages. In the USA the comma separates thousands, the point the decimal places. And in the EU it's the other way around. Not a super-easy problem but it should be obvious that - for example - it's very unlikely a price would be listed with three digit precision.

I'm having trouble with the add-on recognizing "," as a decimal separator with currencies that do not use it as such; Japanese yen prices turn out quite a mess. (It's usually used to separate hundreds and thousands in Japanese yen)
Otherwise it works nicely.
