My Reviews

FoxyTunes

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Very nice extension, but there are major problems that hurt the usability of this product.

One, the location of the player switches so often it becomes an annoyance. I will set it to the middle of my menu bar, and when i switch windows, it goes back to the status bar. It rarely stays in the position desired.

two, it needs an options dialogue. How hard can that be? Right now, a user has to click through an unnecessary amount of drop down menus to access any options, such as turning off unnecessary features that just bloat the program. I had to go through that ugly menu 6 times to get rid of the buttons Ididn't want showing up.

three, there are many of these unnecessary features. Signatunes and Twittytunes? Seriously, who puts their music in their signatures? and then, I don't want anything to do with foxytunes planet. If I have an artist in my library, I should know what I'm listening to. And if I don't I can just research it on google.

It's a good extension but some things about it are just horrendous

Speed Dial

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this add-on! It's perhaps one of a few that should automatically be packaged in with firefox, it's just that damn useful.

However, after the latest update, I've found that speed dial won't open in new tabs. I had it set up like opera, where it would open in every new tab. however, the only way to open speeddial now is to put the speeddial button on the toolbar, and click that whenever I want to use speeddial. not much of a concession, but it should be known that one of the features was broken somehow in the latest update.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.7.2).
