My Reviews
Redirect Bypasser
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
1) When mousing over a link RB often completes the replacement _after_ Firefox has already displayed the URL in the status bar. The result is that Firefox is showing the original URL but RB has already made the replacement.
I rely on the status bar to know where I'm going next (and if to confirm whether RB made a good replacement). The status bar must _always_ reflect RB's replacement.
2) Setting "hide delay" and "show delay" to zero results in buggy behaviour with menus persisting or not showing up at all. Reproducible by quickly mousing over and out of links repeatedly.

A slightly improved suggestion for point 2)

Great work!
1) It seems that the URL replacement is done on mouseover (?). The problem is that the replacement is often done _after_ Firefox has already displayed the URL in the status bar. The result is that Firefox is showing the original URL but Redirect Bypasser has already made the replacement.
I rely on the status bar to know where I'm going next (and if to see Redirect Bypasser made a good replacement). The status bar must _always_ reflect Redirect Bypasser's replacement.
2) The behavior settings are confusing. I suggest they be designed this way:

3) If I enable "Highlight active link on the page" and then disable the setting, the highlighting remains even after browser restart. I'm referring to the gray underline below links (I'm assuming this is the 'highlighting").
4) the Test Area does not reflect the "Highlight active link on the page" setting.

"Replace URL of the link" is poorly implemented because it hides the menu.
When modifying page links, the following needs to be available to the user:
1) It needs to be obvious that the link has been modified by the extension. Show a menu, change the icon, etc. Show something so I know the link has been modified when I mouseover it.
2) Give me the option to use the original link.

It's powerful but the operation makes no sense.
To remove redirects on link mouseover, we can either:
1) don't modify the indirect link, give the user an option to use the direct link. (this addon's method)
2) make the link direct, give the user an option to use the indirect link(s).
There is only one consideration to determine which one is more efficient from a user perspective. Which is desired most often: direct or indirect links?
I think everyone can agree that the direct link is desired WAY more often. Why would I want the extra step of having to manually choose the direct link if that's what I want 9 times out of 10?
In fact, indirect links are only useful on specific sites which is why the user should be able to whitelist them.
Redirect Remover was the best...

Right Links

It would be great if this extension had an option to actually emulate the middle click. This would allow extensions like Redirect Remover and MClickFocusTab to function properly when right clicking a link.
