My Reviews
Extra Folder Columns
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
In TB38, this is again standard functionality but hidden in View => Layout => Folder Pane Columns.
Thanks to the add-on developer for helping us out for such a long time.
Automatic Dictionary
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Working fine, it really helps me a lot, having correspondents in several countries speaking different languages.
I'm just wondering where the data is stored? For trouble-shooting... you won't need it in everyday life. And if there was some indicator (flag, or just text) in the status bar, that would be lovely. Just some suggestion for future versions.
EDIT 2015-01-10: Thanks for the reply! I found the data in the user preferences (file pref.js or preferences extensions.automatic_dictionary.* in config editor). As for the little status bar flag I dreamt about, I contacted him directly and got the answer that he prefers to keep the add-on as simple as possible (and I do agree).
EmailPicky 4
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Works fine for me, even on IMAP account, and offers quite a lot of options (only TO, FROM, CC etc).
FfChrome
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The context menu in itself is shortened as expected, five stars for this, I was waiting for such an extension for so long.
But there are side-effects... for example, the menu of the ScreenGrab extensions becomes "shortened" and thus completely invisible.
SortPref

Finally a way to set the normal list view as default again.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars
There used to be a problem with virtual folders (search folders) but there's where I need the colors most. This seems to be repaired now and it's fantastic for me now.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0).CompactHeader
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Great! I may have wished to have a bit more options about what to see and maybe to toggle between standard and compact header, but so far it's really improving the experience with Thunderbird on smaller screens... Except that it seems that the compact header defines a minimum width which will make my window (under ubuntu), when maximized, reach over the end of my screen (on a tiny netbook) - or is there some other addon incompatibility??
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.0.7).Thunderbird Conversations
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Great, it really shows the whole thread in an overview and helps me a lot!!
I'm giving it only four stars because some things may still be improved:
- show contact picture
- allow to send the reply later (it's sending immediately if you use fast reply)
- some issues with text size (even though it's okay for me now, I had some issues before on other computers)
That said, let's not forget that it revolutionizes (replaces) the way the messages are shown so some incompatibilities (eg when using an addin to display contact photos) will be inevitable.
Folder Levels
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The idea is great and it makes the whole folder structure much more readable. Alas, it only seems to work for real folders (remote or local), but not for virtual (search) folders.
Display Contact Photo
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Works fine, uses photos from the address book and from a local folder. Only drawback: When composing an email with yourself in BCC, it will show your picture, too.
