Speed Dial

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Speed Dial exists in one form or another on many platforms. But it is this incarnation in Firefox which truly excels. As an avid user of the internet, I have amassed 100's of URL's of sites I visit regularly. Being able to lay them out in visual groupings allows me to swiftly navigate to exactly where I want to be without delay and with 100% certainty of the site I am visiting. The time saved is terrific and it is a splendidly smooth experience to use.

I love the flexibility. You can create panes/dials of different sizes, layouts, colours and of course content. Nothing is dictated to you, you are the master of your web.

It is the security, peace of mind and extensibility of Firefox combined with this must have extension which keeps me a loyal follower of both. I go where I want, when I want, safely and quickly. Sorted!

Using latest version as of this date: Works OK, but is blocking the loading of Roboform Toolbar.

I use this exclusively in place of bookmarks.
I have 9 groups of 5*5 dials with each group being a category. I much prefer the visual content. I found it easier to turn off updating the thumbnails automatically and I have not used any of the icons etc. No crashes or bugs and no slow downs. It works very well and is pleasant - especially now I have customised the colours etc.

I would like to be able to export the dials not as settings but as bookmarks, there are times when I wish to use other browsers (yes I know, sacrilege but it has to be done).
