My Reviews
NetVideoHunter
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I desperately needed a video of metacafe and essentially just ran through pretty much every .flv video downloader there was until I found one that worked. This was it.
In the past there has been no end of excellent downloaders, yet with the most recent version of Firefox it seems many of them stopped working. Not NetVideoHunter!!

It does work absolutely fine with minimal effort as long as you remember a few things:
1) The video must be fully loaded before you try downloading, otherwise the download simply doesn't start.
2) The video downloads as a file called "get video" and no extension. In order to actually watch it, you can rename the file to whatever you want, providing you add the extension ".flv" at the end.
3) Most importantly, FLV files can only be watched on certain media players. The codecs provided by the standard Windows Media Player do not usually support the file, so my advice is to download the "K-Lite Codec Pack". This can be found by searching for in in Google (download it for free from any number of sites, so if you're asked to pay go to another site). Download, unpack and install it and remember to choose "Lots of stuff" at the "what to install" screen. It will then ask if you want to use the codecs with Windows Media Player, or the media player provided which is called Media Player Classic (Classic is the choice for many pros as it is simple, unobtrusive and highly versatile - I love it). *pant pant pant*.
Lol, there we go. This download along with these instructions should sort you well and true and allow you to download vids from youtube. I do it all the time now and it's awesome. Good luck!!
