Yahoo! Mail Notifier
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This is an excellent add-on and it only seems to have stopped working properly since Yahoo switched to the new mail version. How many people have been using this for years and only decided to rate it (poorly) now because it's temporarily broken?
Great add-on, keep up the good work!
The link the author has posted has an extra character, which is why the Mozilla says it can't find the page you're looking for. Just remove the ) from the end of the link in the address bar:

eBay Quick Search

Good add-on and does what I wanted but I'd like to see an option for a preferred region so you don't have to go down a list to pick your local ebay site each time. Opening in a new tab would be great as well. If there's a list of items you're looking for it keeps you having to go back and forth, instead you can just highlight and search for each item, then browse the tabs separately.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.5).Simple Mail

It's a shame no one is working on this extension any longer - it's the only one of its type that I could find. I needed pop3 email but I didn't want to go through Thunderbird. It's basic but does everything I want it to and more than I expected.
I managed to get version 3.1 working in Firefox 3.6.13 by doing the following:
Follow the instructions for disabling add-on compatibility checking here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Extensions.checkCompatibility
If done correctly there will be a warning and a button to re-enable in the add-on manager (Tools>Add-ons)
Download and install version 2.74 from the developer's website:
http://userlogos.org/extensions/simplemail
Once installed re-enable add-on compatibility checking by going to the add-on menu and press the 'Enable' button.
Finally, install version 3.1 over top of 2.74.
This may not work for everyone but it has worked for me - I can now send and receive email via btconnect.
If someone is able to get this working again without jumping through hoops it will easily be a 5 star add-on. If I had any idea how to compare the files I'd try and figure out what 2.74 does that 3.1 doesnt.
