v. 3.3.2 Has always worked well on my Tbird 102.15.1 but can't get it work on my wife's laptop Tbird 102.15.1 - the key navigation quick toggle won't work on hers - is there something in Tbird config editor that needs to be set?

No longer works in Thunderbird Supernova 115.

Does exact what it promises.
Just type a character and it jumps to the first or next folder which starts with that character.
Since I have multiple folders beginning with the same characters, 2010a, 2010b, 2010c 2011a, 2011b, 2011c, 2012a and so on. it would be fine to take more characters as input to look for. Now you must repeat that first character several times.
BUT,never the less, this app makes life already much easier!
Thanks

exelente es lo que me faltaba un simple filtro o buscador de carpetas.. es muy util para quienes tenemos grupos de noticias via nntp!

Was not available for a while due to Thunderbird upgrades, but now since version 3.3. works again flawlessly. This is *very* useful and speeds up navigating to a specific folder, especially when you have a lot of folders and subfolders: place focus on tree, when start typing, jumps to next visible folder that satisfies the letters typed thus far. does not open or look in subfolders that are not visible or closed. Thank you Andrew for making this great tool!

It really speeds up finding a folder in large folder structures and / or when you have several mail accounts. It is especially useful to find sub folders when you have forgotten where exactly the sub folder was placed.

As a non-mouse user this add-on makes Thunderbird usable. Without it, navigating between email accounts and folders is a lousy experience.

I loved this plugin too. But now it does not work as it did in the past.

On Thunderbird 68.5 for Mac OS X and once installed, the plugin does not offer to type any letter at all, but it only allow selecting a folder from a drop-down list.

Please update it to recover the original way to work!!

I loved this add-on. Simply does not work on 68.4.1+. When enabled just filter the first letter, on earlier versions on the search box (now just not appears) we could search several letters.
Please update!!!!

Seems not to allow to enter more than the first character.
Not practical if you have 400-500 folders.
Is it supposed to allow to type an arbitrarily large substring of the folder name ?
Also shows as installable in Add-Ons after successful installation

it is very good, but the option in Go Menu cannot stop "Star", "Space Bar" & "Tag" short cut. So the power dropped down very much.

My favorite add-on. As a blind screenreader user, it's more than handy to be able to navigate folders by their first letter, something that Thunderbird does not support natively for whatever reason. Cudos to this add-on developer for taking on the task of filling this need, and for updating it when necessary to do so. These five stars are very well deserved.

Seems not a populair AddOn, but does exactly what it promises.
It would be a nice feature if at startup of Thunderbird, the addon could navigate automaticly to "InBox".
(like Outlook Express could)
Hope the developer will support this Add-on for future versions of Thundebird.

Just started using this extension. Seems to work OK.
Would be more confident if it was more heavily used and reviewed by other people and if it supported permissions so I had more confidence it did not leak any information.

What I was really looking for was an Add-On to provide a filter field for the folder pane. My list of folders has become rather unmanageable. The advantage of a filter field is that it I may not completely remember the folder name I am searching for, or there might be multiple similar ones. e.g. if I typed "ship" into a filter it could list "Shipping" and "Transfer-shipping" folders while this Add-In would just take me to "Shipping" and I would not be reminded of the alternative.
