For a long time I used the program with Outlook and everything was fine with synchronization.
Then I switched to Thunderbird. With problems, but it worked.
But with the beginning of 2025, the "good" ended (does it always end?). The addon has completely become inoperable.
Or it doesn't see either standard or card book address books. Or it sees it, but it freezes when trying to sync.
It looks like it's time to say "Goodbye Myphoneexplorer".

Like Chris from Jan 2024, I've also been using MPE for years to link my phone and Outlook and its worked well. I've changed to Thunderbird as well but I can't get MPE to synch my Thunderbird calendar with the MPE Add-on. I click on the MPE icon in Thunderbird and the MPE icon on my taskbar lights up but the calendars don't synch. Is there meant to be a Thunderbird option on the computre's MPE Settings/Synch menu? B.

I've used MPE to sync my Android phone to Outlook successfully for many years but now I've got a new PC and have to use Thunderbird instead of Outlook. I've imported (with difficulty) addresses from Outlook into Thunderbird as a Personal Address Book and it seems to have stored the records in a SQLite database. I've since added the MPE and vCard addIns to T-bird and created an address book from vCards but I'm now struggling to set up sync to this with my android phone. The MPE addon gives me a Sync Phonebook option and it syncs the phone with MPE. But MPE does not show the Thunderbird option in Sync settings which I understand it should. Maybe I am missing something. A shame because otherwise I've been very impressed.

Perfectly sync my google agenda, contacts etc.. but not the main Thunderbird agenda, which is why i was trying to use it

myphonexplorer cant get it to synch with thunderbird 78 and have installed the 3.0.12-tb.xpi into root folder but still not synching. Any suggestions?

Ich nutze MPE und TB seit vielen Jahren. Beides essentiell (für mich) und harmoniert hervorragend, MPE ist jederzeit aktuell. Mir ist nicht erinnerlich, dass ich jemals ein Problem mit dem der Synchronisation der Termine oder dem Adressbuch hatte (richtige Einstellungen vorausgesetzt). Smartphone und TB sind per Knopfdruck ohne Cloud aktuell. Durch das Addon nun auch direkt aus TB. Läuft! Schade ist, dass der Sync nur mit dem spärlichen TB-eigenen Adressbuch funktioniert. Das wertet aber beide Tools keinesweg ab. Empfehlung noch für's Handy: MyLocalAccount. Datenschutz funktioniert am besten dann, wenn alles bei mir bleibt. Warme Empfehlung, danke an alle!

I've experienced a few annoying sync issues, each one mainly resolved by reinstalling the addon in tb; otherwise a seemless integration with my phone. Huge thumbs up!

Ich verwende MyPhoneExplorer bereits seit mehreren Jahren. Die Synchronisierung ist zuverlässig und kinderleicht. Die Benutzeroberfläche übersichtlich und intuitiv gestaltet. Die Software ist immer auf dem neuesten Stand. Hervorragendes Tool!

Schnell, zuverlässig, perfekt! Nur auf die Thunderbird-Kontakte kann MyPhoneExplorer jetzt nach dem Update nicht mehr zugreifen. Das bekommen wir aber bestimmt noch hin!

This is a companion add-on to the program 'MyPhoneExplorer'. This program allows you to sync all of your contacts, calendars, tasks and more with your android mobile phone and Thunderbird.
This is the only free software I've found that allows me to sync via a USB cable with all of my locally stored information.
The add-on itself mostly runs in the background and works with the desktop program.
