This add-on allows a comfortable (mobile) use of an advanced search engine which comes with a really sophisticated privacy protection.

This add-on allows a comfortable (mobile) use of an advanced search engine which comes with a really sophisticated privacy protection.
Facts of our privacy protection:
- No tracking
- No use of cookies
- Server sided anonymisation of IP addresses. This means that we do not use and we do not even know your IP address.
- We provide a proxy server. Just use the "open anonymously" button attached to every result in the list.
- All of our servers are located in germany and underlie the strict german privacy protection law therefore. Visit https://metager.de/en/datenschutz for more information.
- Intuitive usability
- Search with approved default settings or
- apply your own settings (combine up to 50 single sources).
- We published the source code of MetaGer on a Gitlab instance: https://gitlab.metager3.de/open-source/MetaGer to allow control.
- MetaGer is run by the german non-profit organization SUMA-EV
- Supported languages: english, german, spanish; interface language and language-specific filtering of results via "customize" button
- MetaGer.maps: MetaGer now provides a map function. It is restricted to Germany-maps while we are testing. A route planner is under develoment
