توسط Bastian Kleinschmidt
NC Connector brings Nextcloud Talk meetings, secure file shares, intelligent attachment automation, and centrally managed email signatures directly into Thunderbird.
دربارهی این افزودنی
NC Connector is the open-source Nextcloud integration built specifically for Thunderbird.
Share files and folders, protect shared links, create Talk meetings from calendar events and manage large attachments directly inside Thunderbird.
Key features
- Flexible file sharing – Use local files or content already stored in your Nextcloud. With the optional backend and NC Connector Pro, compatible storage add-ons such as Google Drive, OneDrive and WebDAV can also be included.
- Protected shares – Set passwords, expiration dates and the permissions recipients should receive.
- Secure password delivery – Send the password separately or use Nextcloud Secrets to create an expiring, one-time link for each recipient.
- Automatic attachments – Replace large attachments with a Nextcloud share, using either the regular share page or a direct ZIP download.
- Talk from your calendar – Create and update Talk rooms directly from Thunderbird events, including lobby, password, participants and guests.
- Reliable workflows – Separate password messages are handled only after the main message. Unused shares and unsaved Talk rooms are cleaned up automatically.
- VFS-Provider: Nextcloud
Optional backend for organizations
NC Connector Backend in the Nextcloud App Store
- Central settings for sharing, Talk, attachments and email signatures
- Different settings for groups and individual users
- Locked settings or selected options that users may change
- Delegated administration without full Nextcloud administrator access
- Custom designs and templates for shares, password messages, Talk invitations and email signatures
Sharing and Talk also work without the backend. Your login details remain stored locally in Thunderbird, and your files are exchanged directly with your own Nextcloud.
