The service of monetization (the "Service") helps to keep the module free thanks to advertising. If you do not want to be targeted by ads, you can install the paid version of the module.
The manager of the service, Alter-Net, is specialized in customized ads : you certainly prefer see something that interests you rather than a random ad that does not affect you ...
